Why Piiink?💟 We were in an informal gathering of many C-Suite executives. I was chatting with one who runs a large Media company. After awhile he asked me, "Why Piiink?" The question was simple but weighted. My answer may have sounded simple. "It brings meaningful impact to the community." And I went onto explain about how businesses, people and charities benefit from our business model. But to me the answer was actually much deeper than an airy-fairy 🌬🧚♀️reply. Here's my thinking...🤓 ❓️If my goal is money💰, what happens when I reach that specific monetary target? What's my impact? ❓️If my goal is purpose🦸🏻♀️, to help community at some point when I'm well off enough to... When is that & what's my impact? ❓️If it's a passion project💝, what happens when my passion runs out? What's my impact? 🧨But what happens when it's a project that fulfills my purpose, my passion and my financial goals? What happens when it brings impact to not just me, but the greater community as well? That's awesomely powerful! 💪🏼💥 Have a dream✨️ that aligns with your beliefs, goals, passion and vision. Have a dream✨️ that's bigger than yourself! That dream✨️ will drive you to SUCCESS! 🏆✨️ ♻️ If this resonates with you, do repost, but also drop me a comment and tell me your story. #Piiink #entrepreneurship #purpose #passion #financialgoals #communitybuilding #charity #reshmikesavan

🔔Do the right thing. That has so many meanings in todays world. Some of those are participating in charity events, community work, or other philanthropic gestures. Though I'm a firm believer that what goes around, comes around, I am NOT proposing that you do something good only to get something good. I'm proposing that you do something good so it comes back around and allows you to do MORE good. Let's go to work. 🔧 #smallbusiness #businessgrowth #entrepreneurship #smb #leadership #bluecollar #skilledtrades #dogood #blueisthenewwhite

Looking back at my fundraising career I believe I can trace my biggest wins to one key trait: I’m an entrepreneur, through and through. While our sector hasn’t always embraced the entrepreneurial fundraiser with open arms, I think having this mindset can set you apart as fundraising continues to become more creative, more challenging and more competitive. I believe we all have some entrepreneur in us – and if you can cultivate the positive attributes, and manage the more (ahem) potentially hazardous characteristics, you’ll see a huge impact on your fundraising. Great entrepreneurs are excellent problem solvers – the most successful ones can identify the biggest pain points of their customers, and offer solutions to help alleviate that pain. Could it be that great fundraisers are also in the business of helping their donors find solutions to their biggest problems? No matter what your cause, chances are you’re working towards solving a seemingly intractable problem – and when you find donors who care equally about that problem, you’ve found your fundraising sweet spot. I know, our organizations are often addressing complex issues with multiple root causes – poverty and climate change are not problems that come with simple solutions. But I guarantee you that some element of your mission and work alleviates one or more pain points for your donor. And if you haven’t figured that out yet, this is a great opportunity to tap into your inner entrepreneur, and do some detective work. How can you make it a regular practice to tap into your entrepreneurial strengths? Let me know in the comments! Let’s pretend you’ve been given the opportunity to meet with a small group of young, successful entrepreneurs who are excited about investing their newfound wealth in charitable causes. Or, let’s imagine you finally landed a meeting with the matriarch of a large wealthy family who was encouraged by one of her grandchildren to have tea with you. What if one of your fellow college grads recently moved nearby to be the next CEO of a thriving tech company in your area? They reached out to you, expressing excitement to get together and catch up. This week in the Breakthru Blog you'll get my specific thoughts on how to approach these opportunities. How would you approach them? #majorgifts #networking #connecting #awareness #opportunities #fundraising

Whether you are a small business owner or running a nonprofit organization, you know that networking is key. Unfortunately, networking doesn't feel very good to some people. If you are someone who needs to start networking but feel overwhelmed by the process, start by setting a few achievable goals. For example, connect with someone who can provide catering services for your next event. Or find someone you can help with a referral. Small steps add up to great strides. #Facebookads #digitalads #digitalmarketing #socialmedia #smallbusiness #nonprofits #entrepreneur #womanboss #opportunity #hustle #smallbiz

Ask any entrepreneur why they launched their own business, and they probably will not tell you it is because they wanted more peace and freedom in their life. Instead, they might begin with, “Because...” “Because I didn’t want anyone telling me what to do anymore.” “Because I was done with the grind.” But when you dig deeper and keep asking that same question, you will almost always hear, “Because I wanted more freedom.” And, ultimately, “I wanted more peace.
