I thought this would be a great post for everyone starting their Monday. This made me feel warm knowing animals can see the innocence in children as well. Don't Let Go! With 45% of Marine Conservation Society beach cleans finding balloon litter in 2023 we still need to raise awareness and see policy action to bring this percentage down. We have run the Don't Let Go! campaign for years to help raise awareness of the danger to the environment from balloon and lantern releases and we have had some related success with single use plastic balloon sticks now being banned across the UK. However more action is still needed - at the moment over 100 councils across the UK are banning intentional releases but not every council and this doesn't cover land not owned or managed by Local Authorities - check to see if your council is on our list: https://lnkd.in/enNbjtf2 You can share our updated Position Statement with your council to drive change locally by asking them to ban balloon and lantern releases: https://lnkd.in/e9V3aM2P So remember - Don't Let Go!
