The coming to an end of an Era. However, in September 2012 when Mercedes made the announcement that Hamilton would move from McLaren Racing to drive alongside the formidable Nico Rosberg — the World Champion 2016, the critics weren't having it. Here's what the critics said 👇 ❌ "Hamilton isn’t the driver you need." ❌ "A bad decision!" ❌ "No chance of winning now!" Fast forward to today, and Lewis Hamilton is a 7-time world champion tied along side another absolute G.O.A.T, Michael Schumacher! Together, Hamilton and Mercedes-AMG have become the most successful driver-team pairing in Formula 1 history, shattering records and dominating the sport. Which is why it is actually sad to see how they have bungled his departure. Yet, it's insane to see see the success Hamilton has had over the past 12 years. 6 Driver Championships. ( 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020) 8 Consecutive Constructors Championships. ( 2014 to 2021) 84 race wins 78 pole positions 153 podium finishes. What started as a gamble turned into a legacy! They’re watching, You’re building! They know nothing about your specific journey and what you're sacrificing to bring you dream, vision, product, startup or business to life. Yet, the funniest thing is when you push through and achieve success, you turn them into believers. Its been a week since India won the T20 World Cup after a gap of 17 years. A lot has been written and spoken about the victory, the players and the last 5 overs. One important aspect of the victory was the catch by SKY of David Miller. I had one question after watching the match - How much time did Surya had to make a decision on trying to attempt that catch or just throw the ball back into the ground and save a six. I did search quite a bit, but did not find anything around the reaction time. This article in economic times is a great insight into this catch. Boria Majumdar is well known for his cricketing know-how. He says, "he had 0.4 seconds to make up his mind". This just looks crazy for a reaction time in a extremely tense situation. To compare this, think of Formula1 pit stop. Formula 1 is the most prominent of motorsports with millions of fans worldwide. F1 pit stops are one of the most intense and exciting features of a Grand Prix.  In fact, races are frequently won and lost because of the pit stops and the pit crews, as a stop of a few seconds can give the competition a lead of a few hundred meters. Therefore, the pit stop time during a race is crucial for a F1 team. The fastest pit stop in Formula 1 was recorded at 1.80 seconds. It was made by the McLaren Racing Limited pit crew servicing Lando Norris. It occurred during lap 27 of the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix. We get to witness pit stop several times in any race. But a catch of this nature might happen once in a lifetime. Now comparing 0.4 seconds vs 1.8 seconds should tell us the magnitude of what that catch really meant. In his interviews, Surya mentioned how he practices such catching regularly. Dravid, the coach remarked how Surya has taken 150 such catches during practice sessions. Practice is one thing, but executing it in a tense situation in a match and that too final of a world cup is just crazy stuff.

This 4th title is definitely the one of Maturity for Max. - After a near-perfect start to the season, the turbulences in the team, the battles for influence and the drop in performance could have had an impact on his driving. But it was precisely at these delicate moments that Max (while his team-mate was literally sinking) kept his team afloat and gave them the confidence to win the title. - Under pressure, the competitors made mistakes, but he didn't, with that masterpiece in Brazil, which put an end to all suspense. - When you stop judging people and focus on the facts, you can't but salute the performance. 7️⃣ Round Six: Emilia Romagna 7️⃣ Two weeks ago in Miami, we completed our second sprint weekend and witnessed Lando Norris clinch his maiden F1 win. This week, F1 will head to Emilia-Romagna region in Italy! Hosted in Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the Emilia Romagna GP will be the first of the two races in Italy. The track features a mix of narrow, speedy, and technical sectors as the drivers tackle its 19 corners. Expect action (and potentially chaos) coming into the Tamburello corner. So, what should we look out for this weekend? 👀 Ahead of the 2024 race, here’s a little reminder of what happened in Imola 2 years ago after last year’s edition was cancelled due to a flood in the region: 😳 Both Mercs failed to reach Q3: Lewis Hamilton secured pole position in the 2021 edition and teammate George Russell failed to reach Q3 for the sprint race. 🥇 Max wins the sprint race: Verstappen took the lead of the sprint with two laps remaining, with Leclerc finishing second and Sergio Pérez in third. 🥉 Back-to-back Imola podium for Norris: With his third-place finish, Lando Norris scored his second consecutive Imola podium, capitalizing from Charles Leclerc hit the barriers whilst chasing second place. ‼️🚨Race report🚨‼️ Saturday Qualifying P6 and everything indicated that I was on the right track with kart settings to fight for even better positions in Sunday's races. 🚫 I was mistaken 😞 Heat 1: started from P6, dropped to P12 after just 4 laps 🤦🏻♂️ eventually finishing the race in P10 - complete lack of acceleration and top speed 👎 made it impossible for me to fight for better positions 🤷 I could only focus on defending. It turned out that my carburetor was not holding pressure and was wrong set up - my mechanic (dad❤️) unnecessarily decided to rebuild the carburetor on Saturday afternoon after successful qualifying, which turned out to be a big mistake - so again a quick full rebuild and tuning of the carburetor after the first race gave me hope for a better performance in the pre-final 🤞 Pre Final: started from P10 and already on the first lap in the hairpin, I was pushed off the track by a novice driver 😡(to my huge disappointment, there were no penalties for that). I returned to the track in P21 - luckily, I immediately felt that I had good pace and the performance of my engine returned to normal, so all I had left was to chase and overtake as many drivers as possible - I finished P12, overtaking 9 drivers 💪👏 Final: started P7, but unfortunately, I lost 2 positions during great and, above all, clean battles. I only managed to recover 1 position, ultimately finishing the final in P8. ✅In conclusion, P8 in the final seems like a good result, and to some extent, it is true. However, I am very disappointed with the situations that occurred on the track during Sunday's races. Unfortunately, I had no control over any of these things, and I felt helpless, knowing that I could have achieved much more that day. …time for rest and important reflections... 😌🧘
