Just a short while ago, it seemed that non-essential business travel would become a thing of the past, relegated to the pre-COVID era. However, this is no longer the case. Despite employees dispersing geographically, there is now a resurgence in business travel driven by workers and managers who feel the need for personal contact with clients and colleagues, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. The GBTA | Global Business Travel Association anticipates that business travel bookings will return to pre-pandemic levels by the end of this year. One contributing factor, according to The Journal, is that many individuals have simply grown tired of virtual meetings. This return to in-person interactions is not just about reconnecting with colleagues but also about reestablishing valuable face-to-face connections with clients. #RTO

Whether your employees are all in the office, working from home or you are in a transition between the two and still trying to find the right balance, business travel is still happening. Unless you have reviewed your travel policy very recently, the chances are your policy neither aligns to the available solutions, employee working habits or meets the emerging traveller preference for better access to on demand multi modal travel. Research conducted by Enterprise last year surveyed 4000 business travellers and 59% said they would consider changing roles to get better access to business travel options. There are numerous solutions that can easily be integrated into and existing travel policy and importantly are agile enough to adapt as your business travel patterns evolve. If you are not reviewing your travel policy options, the research suggests your employees already are. If you would like to explore how this could apply to your organisation please get in touch.

It's official, companies are ready to get back on the road. “Business travel is expected to grow significantly in 2025, with 40% of companies predicting an increase between June and July and 42% allocating more resources than in 2024.” But, in a world where many companies have shamed remote work, why are they suddenly encouraging travel? It's rather simple, actually, workers want to experience more, see more, and have more flexibility in their day to day lives. #BusinessGrowth #Travel #Trends #2025

Business travel is picking back up. That means companies have a chance to make it better. This is a good read for all of my HR leaders on here: "Most business travelers lack immediate access to travel intelligence information or communication capabilities that may be lifesaving in the event of a medical or security emergency." Let's get human connection going again! #BusinessTravel #HRLeaders #TravelPolicy

The pandemic has certainly changed the way we conduct business. However, recent reports suggest that corporate travel is making a comeback despite the rise of video conferencing. Several companies are sending employees back on the road, leading to a boost in travel bookings and revenues for airlines and hotels. Companies and executives alike emphasize the value of face-to-face interactions for building relationships and driving business growth. Even businesses that initially adapted to remote work without travel during the pandemic are recognizing the importance of in-person meetings, attending trade events, and customer demand. Companies are finding value in travel as an investment for growth and engagement with customers. Additionally, predictions of a global bounceback in business travel spending surpassing pre-pandemic levels by the end of the year are promising. However, challenges in securing hotel space for corporate events due to increased demand remain. Overall, it seems that there is a growing appetite for in-person meetings and events among businesses, signaling a resurgence in corporate travel despite initial expectations of its decline. Are you ready to hit the road again?
