The Purpose Coalition’s Post

The Purpose Coalition reposted this

🚨 The accountancy sector has a problem. For too long, access to a career in accounting has been shaped by background rather than talent. That’s why the Purpose Coalition has partnered with leading accountancy firms to launch a ground-breaking initiative: Breaking Down Barriers to Accountancy. This project brought together 11 accountancy firms and education institutions to tackle four key areas: 📌 Outreach 📌 Access 📌 Recruitment 📌 Progression The result? A report packed with best practices and recommendations to make the sector more inclusive. Key takeaways: ✔️ Target outreach in social mobility coldspots ✔️ Listen to young people - the next generation of accountants ✔️ Collaborate across the industry to share resources & solutions As Rt Hon. Justine Greening put it: “We must create an accountancy sector that truly reflects the communities it serves.” This is more than just a report. It’s a roadmap for real change. Who’s ready to be part of the movement? 🚀 Read more 👇 https://lnkd.in/eA3p2tEU #Accountancy #Diversity #BreakingBarriers #SocialMobility
