The news of Reader's Digest ending its print run, hits hard. After charming it's readers for 86 years, now it joins a growing list of media giants lost to the digital age. Reader's Digest going away, struck a nostalgic chord in me. I have great childhood memories associated with it, as my father was a regular reader, who subscribed this magazine for many many years. RDs stacked on the shelves added a shine to our living room, as fine as the read it offered within. Magazines in print were a fixture in so many of our homes – the crinkle of the pages, the comforting weight in our hands, the scent of fresh ink. It wasn't just articles & stories, it was a feeling.
