Well, this morning we're talking with a company that's promoting self-care for women and I'm joined by Jennifer Juma of Black Girl Vitamins. Thanks so much for being with us. Thank you so much for having me. This is fascinating. What are Black Girl vitamins? Yeah. So we are a black-owned chicago-based Wellness brand that is really about promoting a healthcare advocacy for Black women. And so we focus on common deficiencies the Black women have, for example, vitamin D3A, vitamin D deficiency, what Black women have 82%. Or 82% of black women are deficient vitamin D, so significantly higher than other populations. And so we provide education around that. We provide really great products for it. And we also just provide education through our medical advisors who provide culturally competent advice to our audience. That's really interesting. How long has this company been around? For about 3 years. So it was founded at the end of 2021. How did you get started? Yeah, so our founder had a vitamin D deficiency and found out she was in community with so many other black women. Who had that issue that was generally overlooked. And so that was the start. And we've since grown to have almost 20 different products. And our goal is to be a one stop shop for black women's vitamin D. This is really interesting. You don't have to go through all of the products, but tell me more about what other what other things you offer. Yeah, we also have iron because black women are three times more likely to suffer from anemia compared to white women, for example. So we have iron. We provide that education around the importance of taking iron. We also have PCOS relief product, right black. Women are also more impacted by polycystic ovary syndrome, and so we have gummies that help support and relieve the symptoms of PCOS. Wonderful. Now we're looking at some video of people working out here. What's going on? Yeah. So for Black History Month, our theme of sisterhood in self-care, and it was around promoting sisterhood and having like, a shared experience for Wellness. So we have a series of workout classes around the country. We've hosted 3 already with over 300 women total. Come to that. We have one in Detroit. Actually, later this evening with over 100 women who signed up and on Sunday, actually, we have our Chicago version. So it's about getting women together to work out to basically treat Wellness and health as like a form of like a radical liberation in a way. And so that's our goal, to promote movement in sisterhood. Can people still be a part of your Chicago event? Absolutely, yeah. So you can go on event, right And look for Black Girl Vitamins page and sign up. Ohh and there's the information right there. So 12:00 PM to 1 quick one hour workout. Sounds good. And there's the address right there. And tickets are still available online. What's the website? Yes, it's on N8 Eventbrite. So just search background Miss Eventbrite and all of our social media pages on Instagram, on Facebook, you can find that information as well. And we also have a unique Black History Month commemorative box as well and some samples and tote bags and things like that. So anyone who comes also get some freebies. From us. Well, fantastic. Sounds like a wonderful idea and I wish you a wonderful event this weekend. Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. Of course, yes, really great meeting you as well. We'll send this over to Kevin. Alright, thank.
