🌟 International Women’s Day Today, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of women across all industries. At psd group and Hoggett Bowers, we are honoured to work alongside so many talented, driven, and inspiring women who continually shape our industry and workplace. However, while today is a celebration, it also serves as a reminder of the work that still lies ahead. Women continue to face significant barriers to leadership, with progress being made — but not fast enough: ▪️ FTSE 100 Companies: As of 2015, women held only 5% of CEO positions in FTSE 100 companies. By 2024, this figure had increased to approximately 10%, indicating progress but also highlighting the need for continued efforts toward gender parity. ▪️ FTSE 350 Companies: In 2024, women occupied 32% of executive committee roles in FTSE 350 companies, a decrease from 33% in 2023. ▪️ Board Representation: Women now hold 43.4% of board positions in FTSE 350 companies, up from 12.5% in 2010. Despite these advancements, challenges persist. The gender pay gap in professional services remains over 20%, and women are 29% less likely to be promoted to leadership roles compared to men. These statistics underscore that while progress has been made, true equality is still a long way off. That’s why International Women’s Day is so important — not just as a celebration, but as a call to action. As an industry, we must continue advocating for fair hiring practices, equitable pay, mentorship opportunities, and a workplace culture that truly supports women in advancing their careers. To the amazing women at psd group, Hoggett Bowers and beyond — thank you for your hard work, leadership, and determination. We recognise the barriers you continue to face, and we are committed to championing change. Let’s work together to build a future where gender equality is the norm, not the exception. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction #GenderEquality #WomenInLeadership #BreakTheBias
