It has been a pleasure working with the ORPC team on the FERC Draft Pilot License Application for the East Foreland Tidal Energy Project in Cook Inlet, Alaska, which was submitted on 18 March 2025. The Cook Inlet has the highest tidal stream energy potential in the U.S. We’re proud that #ProteusMarineRenewables’ 1.75MW AR Series tidal turbine has been presented within this application alongside #ORPC’s TidGen technology. This project, backed by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office under the American Tidal Energy Project, represents a major step forward for tidal stream energy in the U.S. and reflects a strong commitment to energy diversification and national energy security. Huge thanks to Tom Hutchinson, Cara Donovan, Steve Allsop and Beth Lawrence MA for your expertise and dedication throughout the application process. We're excited about the next steps and the opportunity to help shape the future of tidal stream energy in the U.S! https://lnkd.in/ejwDwPXV #tidaltechnology #renewableenergy #cookinlet #alaska
