Looking back at last year, one highlight was when I was asked to step in as Tournament Director for Pickleball Sweden Open and decided to go for it. This was to be the 4th edition of northern Europe's largest and most popular pickleball tournament, one of a very limited few tournaments in Europe with an ongoing partnership with the American Association of Pickleball Players (APP). So it came with some expectations! But as one of the first orders of business I was lucky to get the creative geniuses of Kreativism engaged on the project. And from there, things turned out pretty well.. This poster they created highlights many of the things that made the 2024 edition unique. Since this is after all LinkedIn, here are some of the top achievements: First pickleball tournament in Sweden with sizable prize money (enabled by record sponsorship deals with HQ's of leading brands in the US and Asia).  First pickleball tournament in Europe with progressive prize money correlated to number of participants.  First pickleball tournament in Europe with live-streamed pay per view through MATCHi.  First ever DUPR integrated tournament in Sweden. One of four events on the https://lnkd.in/dHjccR6P Europe tour.  Maximized player satisfaction, NPS 94%.  Six digit revenues. Most importantly it was a really really fun tournament, with so many amazing people from all over the world flying in to play.
