We’re excited to announce that Powin and Galp, Portugal’s leading integrated energy company, have successfully delivered and commissioned a 5MW/20MWh utility-scale battery system at the Alcoutim solar park in southern Portugal — marking Powin’s first project in Europe. 🌍🔋 This #BESS, powered by our Centipede™ Stack750 platform and paired with Hitachi Energy’s power conversion system, enables the Alcoutim site to store solar energy during periods of excess generation and dispatch it when the grid needs it most — supporting both grid flexibility and system decarbonization.
