Yesterday’s #STLMade panel at the World Agri-Food Tech Summit was an incredible showcase of why St. Louis is a powerhouse for AgTech innovation. Huge thanks to Maggie Kost and Greater St. Louis, Inc. for setting the stage for Emily Lohse-Busch to moderate a dynamic conversation with leading AgTech players in St. Louis (who better than 39 North to do so?) Panelists Charlie Bolten of Solis Agrosciences, Tania Seger of Plastomics, Inc., Nick Reinke of HabiTerre and Lawrence Page of Lewis & Clark AgriFood shared keen insights and learnings from every angle of the sector - as investors, operators, corporate leaders and ecosystem builders. One moment that stuck with me - Nick shared why his startup, which has grown with a fully distributed team most of its existence, is now firmly headquartered and expanding in St. Louis. He called out Arch Grants awarding HabiTerre in 2022 as a key part of that decision. That’s what it’s all about. We’re not just supporting startups - we’re helping visionary founders see St. Louis as the best place to build, scale, and lead the future of industry, and increasingly so in #AgTech.
