🔍 Are we relying too much on AI / #GenAI to solve our retention concerns? Or is it time to look at something more human? In the race to keep top talent, we see many organizations increasingly turning to AI for solutions: predictive analytics to spot #flightrisks, #chatbots for onboarding, and even personalized career pathing and counseling. These tools are impressive and would have been unimaginable a few years ago. Whilst they can offer valuable insights, the question is whether technology alone will be the answer to our retention headaches? 🤔 Consider this: A shiny AI can tell you who might leave, but it can't sit down and have a heart-to-heart with your employee about their career aspirations. It can't create a workplace where people feel genuinely valued, connected, and inspired. Here's a thought—what if we spent as much energy fostering a vibrant company culture as we do on the latest tech trends? Imagine a workplace that is #inclusive, where people feel they #belong, their contributions matter, and their #personalgrowth is a priority. A culture that celebrates wins together and supports each other during tough times. Whilst I would still encourage companies to implement AI for a wide number of HR-related processes, AI -at this point in time- is a tool, not a cure-all. It can enhance our efforts but not replace the essence of what makes a workplace thrive — its #culture. Investing in relationships, mentorship, and a shared sense of purpose might just be the secret sauce we’ve been searching for. Actually, the combination can become a company's superpower. It’s astonishing to see the growing trend of companies replacing human workers with AI bots. While AI has its place in automating certain tasks, the idea that bots can fully replace the creativity, empathy, and nuanced decision-making that humans bring to the table is, frankly, crazy. The wave of layoffs to switch to AI-driven systems may save costs in the short term, but it misses the larger picture—human talent, innovation, and connection are irreplaceable. Technology should be an enhancement to human work, not a complete replacement. Let’s not forget that at the heart of every great company is a team of dedicated people.
