Rewinding to the most incredible evening at Moxy Boston for April Boston Networking Event w/ Mass Professional Networking. As I look back on the enriching conversations and invaluable connections made, I'm reminded of the incredible talent and passion that propels our industry forward. Being immersed in such a vibrant gathering of passionate individuals reignited my belief in the transformative power of community and collaboration. In a world where the weight of everyday rejections can sometimes dim our spirits, connecting with like-minded souls infused me with renewed energy and spurred me to push beyond my limits. A highlight for me was the diversity of backgrounds and cultures present. As a recent graduate diving into the realm of Data Analytics and attending my inaugural networking event, I initially harbored slight trepidation. Yet, those concerns evaporated upon encountering the warm reception and genuine interest from every corner of the room. Meeting individuals like Michael Ziebell, Ram Santhanam, LaQueen Arleen Battle, Rajeev Kumar, and David Gerth was a true highlight. Their willingness to share stories, offer advice, and extend support left an indelible mark, affirming that every voice, regardless of background or experience, has value and contributes to our collective journey forward. It was a reaffirmation that in embracing diversity, we not only enrich our own lives but also pave the way for a more inclusive and vibrant professional landscape. Big kudos to Jeffrey DeSocio for organizing such an event that fostered meaningful connections and ignited new ideas. Looking ahead with anticipation and excitement for the next chapter of growth and collaboration! Here's to embracing every rejection as a stepping stone and every connection as a wellspring of inspiration. Together, let's shatter barriers, defy expectations, and create a future brimming with limitless possibilities. #Networking #AprilBoston #EventRecap #CareerGrowth #CommunityConnections #MoxyBoston

Now it’s time to act. The energy at our last H-Town Handshakes event was tremendous. https://lnkd.in/gCMgnDa5 Over 40 incredible people showed up, and every single one of you made it a powerhouse event. But that was just the beginning. If you haven’t followed up with the connections you made, do it today. A simple “How can I help you?” goes a long way—it’s how deals are made, opportunities created, and partnerships formed. Here’s the truth: Your network will get you to the next level, but only if you nurture it. Great conversations don’t mean anything if they just sit there. Be the person people remember. Add value. Follow up and show you’re serious. These relationships can take you places you never imagined. But you’ve got to act now. I’m proud to have every one of you in my network. Together, we’ll make things happen—big things. And the next event? It’s happening November 14th. It’s going to be bigger, better, and bolder. Mark your calendar. You need to be there. Show up ready to connect, collaborate, and crush it. We’re also focused on building referral partnerships with business owners who are serious about growth. If that sounds like you—and I know it does—let’s talk. Big opportunities come to those ready to think big. Let’s keep the momentum going. We’ve got what it takes, and now’s the time to make it happen. It all starts with you—right now. See you on November 14th. Be ready. Everyone should start their day meeting with like minded people with a passion for what they do. 🌞 This morning, I had the opportunity to join Illinois Main Street local directors and State Director Erik Reader on their monthly Zoom call. Hearing what is going on across the state - the victories and the challenges - motivates me to keep doing what we are doing. We are in great company. As part of the call, a few speakers who will be at the upcoming Illinois Main Street conference shared a bit about their topic. ⭐Jennifer Fukala will be sharing how her Main Street organization in Elgin, IL is partnering with the local CVB to build a thriving community. ⭐The always energized Jaime Izurieta will be speaking about how to help Main Street small business owners create an experience, not just another shop. ⭐Maggie Strong will be teaching us how to authentically engage people, build relationships, and get people into the action mode. ⭐Cindy Plante, J.D., MPA will be sharing how the One Howard Street Economic Recovery Plan, partnership with the City of Evanston and Rogers Business Alliance, came together, secured funding, and received the Strategic Plan Award from the American Planning Association. ⭐Leigh Ann Brown and I will be presenting on how to use microbusiness development strategies as a pipeline to fill your empty storefronts. Those are just a few of the speakers and topics you can learn from at the IL Main Street Conference. If you are passionate about your Main Street, get yourself a ticket! Do you care about the impact you're making in the world? Are you a human who values connecting with other humans? Then join us! We are honored to be hosting this event as part of BLD week (and you do NOT have to work at a B Corp or even attend BLD to sign up - just be a human who cares about making an impact!) We'll be facilitating connections that are present and human, to start to build a container that supports us making "Progress on Purpose" (read: messy and imperfect) at BLD and beyond. See you there, friends! (link to sign up below) #bldpnw2024 #leadersinimpact #businessasaforceforgood
We are thrilled to be hosting a BLD week event! As we ponder the theme of "Progress on Purpose", we can't help but think of all the amazing humans who have inspired us over the years as we’ve grown our network in the B Corp space in Portland. Thank you all for the incredible work you do everyday! Our promise to you: This will NOT be your standard networking event. We are committed to and passionate about facilitating true connection, getting to know people in a way that is human first, not about your job title or work experience. We ask that you join us in a spirit of connection and community. Can't wait to start, continue, and expand upon conversations about propelling our movement forward. It was great to attend the Durham Business Group networking event today at the Poplar Tree Garden Centre, where we got to see inside the newly opened Unbox holiday lodges. The lodges are constructed from converted shipping containers, which transported me right back to my Architectural Techology days. Even on a grey day like today, it felt so peaceful & serene. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in or visiting County Durham. Anyway, it was lovely to meet some new people today and share a conversation about what we do at Point North. If you’re a business (small or large) or an individual and you want to make a difference in your community, the first step that you can take is making the intention. Once you make that intention- commit to it. It’s never too late to start making a difference but now more than ever our communities need us. All of us. And that includes you. So maybe it’s worth having the initial conversation with your team or even yourself. What are your CSR/ESG responsibilities? Do you have a plan in place? How are you acheveing, or going to achieve, what you set out to do?

What makes events true cultural anchors in NYC? Honestly, it’s simple: they’re more than just gatherings—they’re real experiences people connect with. I always approach our events with the goal of creating something lasting. At MASC, it’s about more than just selling—it’s about building a space where people feel connected, where stories are shared, and where NYC’s unique energy shines through. Each neighborhood has its character, and when we tap into that, we’re not just hosting an event; we’re making memories and building loyalty that lasts. Does anyone else find that events are one of the best ways to connect with NYC communities?
