Battery Banter – The attached video is of one of the most common battery cell defects that @Waygate is asked to detect and, in some cases, analyze. The video shows inclusions or foreign particles inside a prismatic cell. In this case, these particles are copper, potentially from the slitting process of the cathode. The combined use of a Waygate Technologies CT X-ray and a Thermo Fisher Scientific Scanning Electrode Microscope (SEM) can give you these answers.
