Is your job title preventing you from attracting the right candidates? A Superintendent may glaze over your "Site Operations Leader" listing because you are not speaking a common language. We are INUNDATED with information 24/7 - people's desire & patience to decode your message is slim to none. Your window to capture attention of any kind is minimal. (so if I have captured yours and you are reading this - thank you 😉) It's okay to put the glass of company Kool-Aid down for a bit and call things what they are. Save the quirky titles for AFTER you get the candidate interested. Pro Tip? Craft your ads and outreach using the most widely accepted words/titles that work for your application. Don't make people guess. Double Pro Tip? Include your scope of work in the title. Not everyone knows what your company does, and sometimes it isn't obvious in the name. What's clearer to you.. + Site Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Site Operations Leader + Electrical Estimator - Industrial Construction - Estimator (Special shout out to my Residential folks. I've never seen "Project Manager" take on so many different meanings 😅) Give it a shot! . . . #hiring #recruiting #construction #jobads
