🙌🎓 The results are in! 🤩 Congratulations to all the A-level, BTEC and T Level students getting their results today. You all worked so hard and should be proud of what you have achieved. There is always room to learn more, whether that is in further education or while working. Don't be disheartened if you did get exactly what you wanted, there are so many options to explore. If you are not sure what you want to do next, or just want to earn some money before continuing with education, temporary work is a great way to build practical work experience while finding out more about different roles and organisations. Some of our temps have been with us for years, some come back each summer break, and others we have gone on to place in their first permanent roles. Helping them at the start of their career journey is a pleasure. #resultsday #tempwork #firstjobs

Skills-Based, Early-Career Strategy #1 Internal Certification And Training More and more, large organizations are implementing their own certificate initiatives and comprehensive skills development as part of their early careers program. This could come in the form of in-depth workshops, like “boot camps,” that offer rigorous training on skills like computer coding and development. This helps employers coach early-career employees on the specifics of how their organization gets the job done. Read more in my latest Forbes article https://ow.ly/O19E50Rt8at

What’s Next After NSS? That’s the big question many of us are asking as we complete our national service. This morning, as I woke up, it hit me—my NSS journey is officially over. Reflecting on the year gone by, I can’t help but think about the words of wisdom my mentors and lecturers shared with me before starting this chapter. They spoke about the different paths graduates might take after NSS, and now I’m seeing them unfold: ☑️Some will be retained and continue to grow. ☑️Others might leave their current roles and pursue new interests. ☑️Some will dedicate themselves to social impact. ☑️The bold ones will venture into entrepreneurship. ☑️Others will transition into entirely new fields. ☑️There will be those who continue in education and research. ☑️Some will rise quickly in their chosen career paths. ☑️Others might take longer to discover where they truly belong. ☑️Some will head abroad to further their education. ☑️A few may feel the sting of unfulfilled promises. ☑️Some will make unexpected career shifts ☑️And many of us will discover surprising opportunities we never saw coming. 📌To All Graduates: The end of national service may feel uncertain, but remember—your journey is just beginning. 🔉Focus on what you do best. 🔉Keep learning and building your skills. 🔉Trust that things will fall into place at the right time. We all have different timelines, and that’s okay. Don’t let setbacks define you. Keep pushing forward, and the right opportunities will present themselves. ♦️On a lighter note, someone recently joked that by tomorrow, I’ll be joining the “unemployed graduate” club 😂 (but I declare that’s not my portion in Jesus' name 🙏🏽). To the New Batch of NSPs: As you embark on this journey, here’s a little advice: ✅ Embrace every challenge—it’s an opportunity to learn. ✅ Network with the people around you. ✅ Be proactive and take ownership of your work. ✅ Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. ——————————————————— P.S.: Leave a word of encouragement for any NSP you know in the comments. P.P.S.: If you’re a professional, we’d love to hear your advice for fresh graduates! #NSSJourney #CareerGrowth #PositiveMindset #NewBeginnings ❤️

Hello, my name is Tim, I'm 22 years old and a passionate information technologist. I'm currently in the 2nd year of my apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development. 🖥 What I like about computer science I feel comfortable between the lines of program code. What do I enjoy most? Approaching and solving problems logically. The work never gets boring. In the end, nothing is more satisfying for me than seeing a bunch of disorganized zeros and ones working together creating something bigger. ❓ IT specialist for application development Information technology is an incredibly diverse professional field. If you search for all the professions in this sector, the list is endless. New job titles are added every day, existing ones are renamed, regrouped or scrapped. Basically, the application developer deals with everything that has to do with software. This includes designing, planning, testing and then maintaining and further developing software. Many factors such as security, data protection, scalability and much more must be taken into account. 🙌 My apprenticeship at WEPA I can't imagine a better company to start my professional career in than WEPA. I do what I'm passionate about and I'm always learning to get better at it. My coaches support me with all kinds of topics and take me on different projects. From databases and interfaces to extension programming, everything is included. I particularly enjoy working with colleagues from other countries, as it helps me to improve my English and allows me to step out of my usual comfort zone from time to time. At WEPA, you are not just a personnel number, but actually a perceived human being who is involved in the business processes and who is taken into consideration. #WeareWEPA #together #WEPApprentice
