Protect the work. Protect the joy. You’re NOT on sale. Not everything has to be strategic. Not every moment needs to scale. Not every idea needs to justify itself in a deck. Some things are worth doing because they light you up. Because they move you. Because they remind you why you started in the first place. That spark — the obsession, the instinct, the flow — it’s sacred. And it’s yours. The world will try to systemize it. To optimize, monetize, polish it until it disappears. Don’t let it. Say no more often. Work with people who make you better. Protect the moments that feel raw and real. The ones that make you forget time. That’s where the good stuff lives. You are not a machine. You are not a product. You are NOT on sale. You’re a maker. A thinker. A builder of things that didn’t exist until you touched them. And that means something. So protect the joy. Protect the work. And keep showing up — not for the algorithm, not for approval — but because you give a damn. And that’s everything. — This lovely picture from Tala Schlossberg, was shot by Owen Harvey, at Paradiso 2025 ❤️ 🔥
Well said Marko Pfann! One gets lost in what happens, what one reads and what one hears, the only thing that matters is doing it from the heart at the end

1wThis moment right here, in Tala's workshop, is when I first realized how much I enjoy writing. Sharpie on paper. I let go of what it had to be and just wrote what came to mind, and people liked it. I never thought I would love to write. But I really do. A lot of blocks lifted that I didn't even see before. That happened because of what you've said here Marko, I made it about joy and nothing else. It wasn't for anyone but me, but then when I read it out loud in this circle it was more connecting to others because of that. The personal is universal. The more authentic you are with yourself the more others connect.
