Oxfam in Nigeria’s Post

The Rivers State Tax Justice & Governance Platform and partners, Chartered Institute of Taxation, National Association of Small, & Medium Enterprises (NASME), Students Tax Clubs (Rivers State University & University of Port Harcourt) National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) Citizens League and Civil Society Organisations with support from Oxfam Nigeria and the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC) held a historic tax walkathon to sensitize the public on the need to pay their tax and called on government at all levels to end illegal and multiple taxation that is a clog in the wheel of economic growth and sustainable development. We intend to make this tax walk an annual event to stimulate and amplify conversation around taxation in Rivers State and Nigeria in general. #PortHarcourtTaxWalk
