This week, a group of OSU Extension leaders traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Public Issues Leadership Development (PILD) Conference, where they joined peers from across the nation. During the visit, they met with congressional staff representing Oregon to share how Extension programs strengthen agriculture, natural resources, youth development and community health in all 36 counties. They also highlighted the unique value OSU Extension brings to Oregon's communities. These conversations were a meaningful opportunity to share real stories from across the state—stories that demonstrate how Extension empowers individuals, supports local communities and helps build a more sustainable and connected Oregon for generations to come.
