Appliance prices are on the rise again but not all categories are equal. OpenBrand's CPI March report shows: - March 2025 saw the strongest MoM price growth in appliances since 2022 - A +1.6% MoM increase in laundry and refrigerators - Dishwashers and microwaves also jumped +0.8% to +1.6% - Even with discount frequency dipping, promo depth actually increased from 16.2% to 17.1% 👉 Translation: retailers are using deeper promotions to manage shopper sensitivity, even as costs climb. For appliance brands, this creates a tricky equation: How do you protect margin in high-volatility categories? Where are price increases likely to stick?
