Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs’ Post

We want to recognize our members & their paramedic services for their dedication, support & endurance during last week’s ice storm. Paramedics in affected areas worked overtime while enduring the storm’s impact on their personal lives. Paramedic services from across Ontario also jumped in to provide resources. This included community paramedicine staffing for respite centres & vulnerable patient home checks (thanks to Durham, York & Renfrew Halton) as well as 911 emergency response relief (thanks to Halton, Hamilton, Toronto, York, Lanark, Frontenac, Grey, Waterloo & Durham). We would also like to thank the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Health Services Department Division Assistant Deputy Minister Susan Picarello & her team for their support.

Thank you it was truly a team effort and the Emergency Health Services team and IT team and the Lindsay CACC were pleased to help out in any way we could during the crisis . We are so grateful to the paramedics and the Ambulance Communications officers who responded during this storm and who are always ready and willing to respond
