Q) How many planets in our solar system are not named after a god or goddess? 1 2 4 6 A) 1. All of the planets in the Milky Way galaxy are named after Greek and Roman gods and goddesses except for our own little humble planet, Earth. Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and Mercury were the first 5 planets to be discovered thousands of years ago while the other remaining planets were discovered much later, with the help of telescopes. Mercury was the Roman god of travel. Venus was the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Mars was the Roman god of War. Jupiter was the king of the Roman gods. Saturn was the Roman god of agriculture. Uranus was named after an ancient Greek king of the gods. Neptune was the Roman god of the Sea. Pluto (a dwarf planet) was the Roman god of the underworld. Earth is the only planet name that is not named after a mythological god and in fact simply means "the ground". #FYI #DYK #Planets #SolarSystem #God #Goddess #Earth #ToyeenB #TBW xo VISIT: https://lnkd.in/fh4-Rux
