Chick-fil-A posted more than $22.7 billion in systemwide sales last year. It joins McDonald's and Starbucks as the only brands with sales above 20 billion in the United States. Chick-fil-A has about 3000 domestic locations compared to McDonald's and Starbucks, 13,000 and 16,000, respectively. Papa John's has partnered with Google Cloud to use AI for proactive personalization. The brand is working towards a future where guests needs are met by automated order suggestions based on historical data and hyper personalized loyalty benefits and perks. Waffle House is satisfying late night cravings with its first ever delivery program. The iconic brand partnered with Olo to roll out direct ordering between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Available at 500 locations across 25 states with plans to roll out. Across its more than 2000 locations by the end of the year, it's Portillo's cracking into breakfast. The brand hinted at menu expansion on their Instagram on Tuesday, posting a photo of a croissant egg sandwich with the date 4/15/25. Well, no further details have been revealed. Restaurant Business reports that Portillo's leaders confirmed that the test is coming later this month. And finally, the stars are coming to the South. This week, the Michelin Guide announced its debut in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi.
