The power of print on paper

Labs face challenges when transitioning to new freezer systems—especially when it involves specialized storage like Bijoux trays. We recently helped a government lab navigate a freezer switch from New Brunswick chest freezers to an Eppendorf F740 upright freezer, and it was a classic case of needing custom solutions. The lab was using Bijoux trays to store universal containers in tower racks, which worked well in chest freezers but proved problematic in the new upright system. The standard upright freezer racks are typically designed for cryoboxes, which are narrower than Bijoux trays. This created wasted space and inefficient storage. Our solution? Custom-designed racks wide enough to hold the Bijoux trays, maximizing the available freezer space. This setup now holds up to 240 trays per freezer, and we’re already working on a full-width tray option to increase capacity even further.
