If someone close to you, a neighbour, or if someone in your community, or organisation is facing a challenging period in their life you might find yourself in the role of Accidental Councillor. The person might reach out to you and confide in you when you least expect it. You don't have to be an expert to support them.. You don't have to have all the answers.. It is hard to predict how the conversation will go, all you have to do is open up conversation with them, ask how you can help them, listen, show support/love to them, and assist them in finding resources/support or even just be a friend and talk with them. Remember to have opened up to you, they trust you.
