Their mission is to ensure that both household and professional equipment, including light bulbs and small used fire extinguishers, are managed sustainably when they reach the end of their life. 📱 Spotlight on ongoing Pilot Project: Launched in late 2019, ecosystem’s "Jedonnemontelephone.fr" initiative is a nationwide pilot in France focusing on mobile phone collection. This program uniquely combines convenience and charitable giving, making it easier for users to give a second life to their phones by allowing them to be repared or recycled, and support meaningful causes. 🔄 How It Works: Convenience: Users can send their phones for free via postal service, either by downloading a prepaid label or requesting a traceable pre-stamped envelope. Here's how our colleagues do it: 🔧 Reusing Parts: Our repair lab (the largest in Europe!) harvest any reusable parts, giving them a new lease on life in other devices. ♻️ Recycling: The remaining materials are sent to our recycling partner, where they're broken down, separated, and prepared for reuse. ✨ Refurbishing: If the products can be refurbished, we clean, fix, and test them, making sure they're ready to be resold or donated to charities supporting low-income families. When we collect used glasses, our goal is to make the most out of every pair. 😎♻️ Some glasses are in such good shape that it would be a waste to recycle them. Instead, we donate these to the Eyes For The World project, where they help people see clearly again. For the glasses that can't be reused, we don't just throw them away. We carefully break them down, separating the different materials. This way, every part of the glasses can be used again in a new way.
