#PestWatch: European Corn Borer Alert! 🌽🐛 As temperatures rise in April, European Corn Borers (Ostrinia nubilalis) become active. They bore into corn stalks and ears, weakening plants and cutting into yields. What to Watch For: ✔️ Small round holes in leaves or stalks ✔️ Frass (powdery waste) near entry points ✔️ Broken tassels or ears from weakened stalks How to Combat Them: 🔍 Start scouting early for signs of damage in June and do weekly inspections from mid-July to early August. 🦠 Support beneficial insects, like parasitic wasps, by planting flowering cover crops. 🌿 Protect your crop with Loveland Products ANARCHY 70WP for targeted control.
