NSF HAMMER Engineering Research Center’s Post

This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to represent the NSF HAMMER Engineering Research Center at the NSF ERC Meeting for Graduate Student Leaders, which focused on addressing the challenges and solutions around student participation and recruitment in engineering research centers across the nation! My Vice President, Oluwatumininu Adeeko, and I met new faces and reconnected with familiar ones as we came together to tackle barriers to student engagement, while also working to improve communication, onboarding, and incentives to boost student involvement. Overall, it was a valuable experience that emphasized the importance of collaboration, inclusivity, and creating actionable solutions to ensure everyone has the opportunity to succeed in science and engineering!
