City of North Richland Hills, Texas’ Post

Jeff Garner took the oath of office Monday to become North Richland Hills’ new Chief of Police, telling the audience, “I am deeply committed to this community and this organization and I am extremely proud to rise to this level and serve you in this fashion.” He added, “We have an amazing team and they stand alongside me and share my commitment to this organization. They share my passion for ensuring that we do the best we can to be the standard for safety and security in this community.” Chief Garner was joined by his wife, Babith, and son, Levi, for the ceremonial swearing-in, which was administered by City Manager Paulette Hartman at last night’s City Council Meeting. A 26-year veteran of the North Richland Hills Police Department, Garner began his career as a police officer and worked his way through the ranks holding leadership positions in Uniformed Services, Training, Professional Standards, Criminal Investigations and Technical Services. He has served as Assistant Police Chief since June 2022. Join us in congratulating Chief Garner on his new role!
