On January 15th, ARH launched the Healthier Central Appalachian Taskforce through a federal ARC ARISE grant and with 15+ partners from four states. ARC Federal Co-Chair Gayle Manchin joined, as well as the CEO for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Susan Benigas. The HCAT task force hopes to improve economic development through developing a healthier workforce. Much of the programming will involve community-based clinical screenings, mobile care, health education, and social interventions led by Appalachian Regional Healthcare.
