NCSR "DEMOKRITOS"’s Post

🚨 BREAKING: KM3NeT Detects an Ultra-High-Energy Cosmic Neutrino! 🚨 On February 12, 2025, the KM3NeT Collaboration announced the detection of a record-breaking ultra-high-energy cosmic neutrino, measuring ~220 PeV, from the depths of the Mediterranean Sea. 🌊✨ This groundbreaking discovery marks a major milestone in neutrino astronomy, shedding light on the most extreme cosmic events in the universe. The Greek team has played a pivotal role in KM3NeT’s construction, operation, data analysis, and management. Special recognition goes to: 🔹 Christos Markou, Director of the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics (INPP) at NCSR "DEMOKRITOS" 🔹 Ekaterini Tzamariudaki 🔹 Evangelia Drakopoulou 🔹 Dedicated technical personnel, students, and PostDocs 🔬 For more details, check out: 📄 Nature publication: “Observation of an ultra-high-energy cosmic neutrino with KM3NeT” https://shorturl.at/Zfy0X 📰 Press release https://shorturl.at/H1QNp 📢 Popular information https://shorturl.at/ugjaY A huge congratulations to everyone involved in this remarkable achievement! 🚀🔭 #NeutrinoPhysics #AstroparticlePhysics #KM3NeT #ScientificBreakthrough #NeutrinoDetection

I had the opportunity as an intern at the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics to get acquainted with the KM3NeT project and came across this exciting announcement three days before my corresponding presentation at the London Universities Physics Conference! Super excited on what comes next in neutrino astronomy!

This discovery means ZERO without professor Guetta from Israel 🇮🇱 who put a lifetime of effort into this and was ELIMINTED from the project because some lowlives ANTISEMITIC useful idiots who are HAMMAS supporters - decided to take something PURE as SCIENCE and make it DISHUSTINGLY political. What thr KM3NeT has done is SICKENING and defeats the purpose SCIENSE exists = propelling HUMANITY to excel, equality and understanding - auxh a shame ....perhaps they need to REVISIT what SCIENCE means - and to watch a few episodes of STAR TREK 😉✡️🇮🇱
