Today kicks off National Apprenticeship Week - a week-long celebration that brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. We heard from Maria, our Chief People Officer, around her thoughts on apprenticeships: “At Nando’s we’re passionate about our people and championing rewarding careers in the hospitality sector. Our apprenticeships are going from strength to strength. Last year we focussed on expanding our restaurant programmes to offer a full career pathway – from Team Member (Level 2) to Managing Director (Level 5) – and we launched our apprenticeships in Scotland to bring more opportunities to more Nandocas. “At Nando’s, it’s all about the people that make our chicken. We’re passionate about giving people a chance to learn, develop and build a career – it’s at the heart of what we do and something we all share responsibility for. We know that when we grow others, we grow ourselves and in turn we help to grow Nando’s.
