Scaling your #flowcytometry experiments may sound great in theory, but processing dozens of 96- or 384-well plates isn’t for the faint of heart — especially when there are so many other studies running simultaneously in the lab. Hudson Robotics, Inc. designed the CytoLoader, a robotic arm platform, specifically to untether lab technicians from high-throughput flow cytometry experiments. CytoLoader independently loads sample plates into a variety of flow cytometer platforms and — perhaps most importantly — never forgets to load the next plate. In fact, CytoLoader is so intuitive that users don’t need to tell the system how many plates are loaded. Users can also add plates to the queue stack for processing at any time. Say goodbye to abandoned stacks of plates, lost instrument time, and the constant ringing of timers. Put the get-up-and-go into your flow cytometer with an efficient, 24/7 solution designed specifically for the job. #labautomation

Are you looking into normalizing and performing PCR assembly in one program? YES – with the right liquid handler, you absolutely can prepare your samples for the thermal cycler in a single program. In fact, when using the flowbot® ONE, from Flow Robotics, you can have your normalization and your PCR assembly in the same protocol. With no scripting or coding required, the flowbot ONE ensures that everyone can use it and benefit from automation. Read this infographic to learn more about the Flow Robotics automation system, or visit our booth Z6.J03 at Medlab Series - Medical Laboratory Industry Forum 2025 to have a chat with our experts. #pcr #automation #sampleprep #mymedlab

The global pharmaceutical manufacturing market is set for remarkable growth and innovation, with a projected value of US$ 2,103.2 billion by 2031. ABB Robotics is playing a key role in reshoring production and addressing workforce shortages with their YuMi® collaborative robots. These dual-armed #cobots have reduced assembly time, increased productivity by 20%, and introduced new levels of flexibility. This automated solution was developed using ABB’s RobotStudio® virtualisation software. At ABB Robotics' new Healthcare Research Hub at the Texas Medical Centre in Houston, robots are being designed and developed to carry out repetitive, delicate, and mundane processes in laboratories. This will leave highly skilled medical and laboratory staff free to undertake more valuable roles and ultimately treat more patients. Yumi, ABB's dual-arm collaborative robot, is making a significant contribution to scientific research in genetics and biology. By handling small, detailed tasks, Yumi is showcasing how robots can aid in complex scientific research. This project is a big step in using robots for important and sensitive research work. Check out the video to see Yumi in action and learn more about ABB's innovative robotics solutions. #innovation #robotics #pharmaceuticals #science #lifescience #collaborativeRobots #cobots #labAutomation Link to the video: https://lnkd.in/e79DJaNC

The first project I co-supervised at HKU was officially published. Thanks to Ruotong Zhang's unwavering efforts over the past two years, Ho Cheung (Anderson) Shum's endless support, and the collaboration of all coauthors! Unlike previous droplet actuation technologies that required the introduction of external media in liquid, in this work we propose a droplet robotics system based on the EPD mechanism. This system can drive a variety of droplets without any media and has extremely high biocompatibility. We believe the fully automated and highly adaptive features of this system can be applied to liquid-based experiments across multiple disciplines. https://lnkd.in/gS_Javi7
