As part of this effort, a new pilot program with Noom is now available to support Sailors who did not meet BCA standards in 2024. -Why it matters: This modern, data-driven resource focuses on creating sustainable healthy habits, aligning with the Navy’s commitment to readiness and resilience. -Who’s eligible? Active Component (AC) Sailors outside BCA standards in 2024. -When is it available? Feb 1, 2025, through Jan 31, 2026. This is a great example of leveraging proven commercial technology to invest in helping Sailors (vs trying to build from scratch or replicate on the cheap!)

Wouldn’t it benefit the program to enroll a variety of Sailors vice just those who failed their BCA? If you allow Sailors who already take their health seriously, they would probably be able to provide more feedback regarding this. Shouldn’t there be equal opportunities? The same services and offers should be available to Sailors who have been doing the right thing vice just the Sailors who are out of standards.
