#InternshipJourney #YoungProfessionals #CareerAdvice Hey everyone! 🌟 So, I just landed a paid internship at a company where most of my colleagues are pretty young (think around 30 or younger). It’s exciting, but I have to admit, I'm a bit uncertain about what to expect and how to navigate this new chapter in my life. I see this as a fantastic opportunity to break into the field and hopefully move up the ladder eventually. Coming from a non-STEM background, I’m doing alright with the database coursework, and the team is pretty supportive. However, I know I’m not the only one feeling this way. If you've been in a similar situation, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Here are some points I’ve been thinking about: Feeling Overwhelmed: While learning can be exciting, it can also feel a bit daunting, especially when everyone else seems to have a bit more experience. 🤯 It’s normal to feel like you’re playing catch-up! Network Building: Being surrounded by younger colleagues means there’s ... What Can You Expect from a Paid Internship Among Young Peers? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gKntWCN4

What is a Performance-Based Stipend in an Internship? Hey LinkedIn family! I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this: What does a performance-based stipend mean to you when you're doing an internship? *My Perspective* To me, a performance-based stipend directly ties to the output you deliver to the company. You work according to the guidance provided and drive results from it. *Hard Work vs. Results* You might work hard, follow all the guidance, and dedicate several hours. But without results, is your performance truly justified? *Your Thoughts?* Share your point of view! Intern season is starting! Here are some tips for a successful internship, and to snag that return offer: ✅ Be curious. This is one of the most important qualities for interns to showcase their passion. Understand why your project was started, how it fits into the larger team’s goals. If possible, suggest improvements or ways to take the project further even after your internship! ✅ Be independent, but not too independent. I often made the mistake of waiting too long before asking for help. I’d generally say if you’re unable to make any progress on your own for 30 minutes, go ask someone. Of course, you don’t just ask “what should I do?”, you should give some context about what you’ve tried, why you thought it’d work, and ultimately why it didn’t. ✅ Be yourself. Have fun. When I was an intern, I was so nervous sometimes that I was overly serious, scared to crack a joke or say something wrong. I learned that being comfortable being myself not only made the experience better for me, but it also helped my teammates see someone they could work with long-term! Good luck to all the interns starting, you’ve made it this far! #internships #tips #AngelasTechspertise
