Happy #InternationalStoutDay from Reuben's Brews! Stouts are known for their dark, opaque color, creamy mouthfeel, and depth of flavors ranging from coffee and chocolate to caramel and roasted nuts. The dark color and complex flavors come from roasted barley or malts, which add that signature boldness and a hint of bitterness. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲: Cocoa nibs or chocolate malts add a smooth, rich sweetness. Brace yourselves for our final Whisky Sponge bottling! When it came to choosing the liquid for our very last edition of Whisky Sponge, firstly, it had to be an excellent dram (that's a given), but we also wanted it to be something a bit different, something special and something we had a strong, collaborative role in creating... So, we started work on this 7-year-old Ardnamurchan last year when we selected eight octaves: four from 2017 and four from 2016. These were a mix of peated and unpeated, 1st fill and 2nd fill, that we combined in a refill sherry butt for around six months. The outcome: high quality, different, collaborative, forward facing and fun! You can expect a nose that hits you with tangy sherry, walnut wine, and a splash of balsamic vinegar, all wrapped in hessian and smoky bacon. Underneath, layers of rich, peppery peat collide with fruit jams and wood spice. The palate is bold and peaty, with savoury notes of cured meats, rancio and fruit chutney. The finish is long, smoky, meaty, and peaty with those tangy sherry and balsamic notes hanging around. It’s a delicious end to Whisky Sponge's five-year reign – Launching Monday 12th at 10am! #WhiskySponge100 #DecadentDrinks #Finale #Ardnamurchan #WhiskyTasting #PeatyGoodness #ardnamurchan #ardnamurchandistillery #lovehighlandwhisky #smallbatch #lovewhisky #whiskysponge #whiskyspongeedition100 #sherrycask #refillcask #sherryoctaves #fruitywhisky #modernwhisky #decadentdrinks #endofanera

Does your wine taste sour? Don’t drink it. Once you open a bottle of wine, it comes into contact with oxygen and the resultant reaction turns your wine into vinegar. That’s why, you might have heard someone say that you should finish your bottle of wine in one go. The idea isn’t to get you drunk but to ensure that your wine doesn’t go to waste. Also, a sour taste isn’t the only characteristic of a wine god bad. Watch out for these signs too: 1️⃣ Does your wine look dull and cloudier than it did when you opened the bottle? 2️⃣ If it is a red wine, has it turned brownish in colour? 3️⃣ Does it have a sharp and sour smell, like a paint thinner or nail paint remover? 4️⃣ Has it developed bubbles? If the answer to all these questions is yes, then chug your wine down the drain and make sure that the next time you have an unfinished bottle of wine, you’ll seal it properly, put it in the fridge and finish it off the next evening. #sonalholland #masterofwine #winetips #winelover #winetime #winetasting #winestorage

Here are some easy ways to impress a wine snob: 🍷 Tip 1: Stare longingly into the glass and observe the color. Is it opaque or lightly translucent? This simple act will make people think you know something. 🍇 Tip 2: Tilt your glass to the side and check out the legs. The thicker the legs, the higher the alcohol content. 🌟 Tip 3: Use descriptive adjectives like “fruit forward” or “bone dry.” These terms will make you sound like a wine expert. 🌬️ Tip 4: Always insist that the wine needs to breathe, even if it doesn’t. Using a decanter can help with this. 🍷 Tip 5: Hold your glass by the stem, not the bowl, to keep from warming the wine and to appear more sophisticated. Cheers to impressing with your wine knowledge! 🥂 #PoisedProper #WineEtiquette #WineTips #WineSnob #DiningEtiquette #WineLovers #Cheers #SophisticatedSipsI

Definition of Baloney (Sausage): Baloney (or Bologna) is a type of finely ground sausage, typically made from a blend of beef, pork, or chicken, and seasoned with various spices. It is usually pre-cooked and sliced thin, commonly used in sandwiches. Example Sentences: 1. I made a classic sandwich with baloney, mustard, and pickles. 2. My grandmother loves frying baloney for breakfast. 3. The deli counter sells thick-cut slices of baloney for sandwiches. 4. I prefer my baloney grilled to get that crispy edge. 5. This brand of baloney is made with all-beef, giving it a richer flavor. 6. Kids always love a simple baloney and cheese sandwich in their lunchbox. 7. The smell of fried baloney takes me right back to my childhood. 8. While shopping for cold cuts, I picked up some turkey, ham, and a pound of baloney. 9.
