When I'm Sydney and here's a day in the life of a junior video editor at Morning Walk, I start my day walking into the Chicago office and going to the video room. This is my boss, Jake. I'm my coworkers Elizabeth and Jack. You might notice a difference between the guys side of the room and the gals side of the room. Elizabeth and I decorated our side with art made by the women in the office, so it's extra special to us. I started the day editing a 15 second spot for one of our clients. At 10:00 AM we had our Monday status. We need to catch up, followed by a production meeting with our production coordinator. This and the creative directors to discuss upcoming projects. Last week our office filled out Oscar ballots to predict the winners. Today we scored them and I was excited to have come in 3rd place. After lunch, I worked with Megan, one of our creative directors, on video changes for 15 and 6 second spot that's going to client for review soon. I also took a quick break to say hi to one of our creative directors, Tom. Hi Tom. Then I did a color pass to make sure everything looked even before sending it for an internal review. I ended the day with similar editing and sending off final files. That's all for today. Thanks for following my day as junior video editor.
