Today, I built a full stack app for a friend in less than 45 mins! I got this message from one of my friends after he saw my YouTube video about creating apps with AI. "How are things going, Ralph? I saw your YouTube on creating apps. I would like to look at creating some simple apps that can be used in the school system. One is a hall pass app that would display students' names plus ID numbers along with destination and timer. if you have any direction for such an app, I would appreciate your input." So, I took on the challenge and wanted to test out a new AI tool to create more complex apps like this. Within 2 mins, I had a basic UI proof of concept using Websim. After confirming that's what he was looking for, I moved the project to a new AI tool that writes full code FOR YOU and can build complex apps quickly. I worked with the app for about 40 mins, starting with the prompt he gave, testing,and letting it fix bugs. I then shared the development link with my friend to test and it was totally on point. He went from an idea to seeing it as a reality in less than an hour thanks to the power of this ever evolving tech. The BEST part, is I asked if I could record the whole process in exchange for building it for him ... and he totally agreed. So, I will be posting the videos in 3 parts. It's the full process with errors and bugs and all BUT I was able to create the Proof of Concept with nothing but the idea and help from AI. How much would a team of developers cost to build such an app? And if his school has a need for this, I may definitely have stumbled on a goldmine. 😎

I don't know how to code and all I hear about #AI is that it's going to revolutionize our digital world. So I made an app (moviepick.me) only using AI...👇 Storytime 👇 A few weeks ago I set out to make an app entirely using AI with four rules: 1️⃣ Needed to be full stack (with custom domain) 2️⃣ No log in required 3️⃣ No download (web app) 4️⃣ Look pretty with good user journey flow But what was my app going to do? Two years ago, Parker White taught me a method for choosing what movie to watch with a group of friends. The method: You choose one person to be a judge, and everyone else submits a movie for that person to pick from. As a "submitter" you have to think about what that person will want to watch, or more importantly, what they won't want to watch, in order to win and become the judge next time. Usually I have everyone text me their suggestion, and then I read off the list to the judge. This seems like a good use case to try out. Let's evaluate the problem from an analyst lens 1. Manual, time consuming process ⏳ 2. Varying tastes lead to unproductive debates 🤢 3. Decision fatigue from overwhelming choice of movies 🥱 To me, this seemed like perfect storm of simple problems to tackle with a simple app. And since I don't care about monetization, I can optimize for the user experience of my friends and myself. A few months ago, Hridya Girish and I were tasked with submitting a project based on AI/ML topics. Without hesitation, we turned to Google in search of open-source projects. However, we quickly realized that every project we encountered had already been done. We didn't want to settle for the ordinary. Determined to innovate, we envisioned an app that could perform the functions of multiple specialized apps combined. While there are open-source projects for chatbots, image analyzers, and document analyzers, we asked ourselves: what if there was an app that could do it all? And thus, the idea for an intelligent web app was born. What started as a simple document analyzer evolved into a comprehensive tool that can analyze images, audio, web URLs, and documents. We scoured the internet for resources—datasets, models, APIs—and pieced together a solution that brings unprecedented versatility and functionality into a single application. Though it may not be flawless, the idea of providing such a multifaceted tool for free, accessible to everyone, instead of charging for these capabilities, had to become a reality.
