This is quite insightful ESOMAR - Market research is a mature industry. - Its growth is coming from research softwares development. - Research softwares are democratizing the research role and driving internalization of research within the companies. - The real reason behind this trend is the lack of business knowledge and lack of added value of traditional research companies, even the big ones. - Unfortunately, the industry is looking to AI developments as a future of insights, and looking to the technology as a solution; and to be honest, this is just going to make market research more democratic and more commoditized. Market research is about business. Market research IS ABOUT BUSINESS. MARKET RESEARCH IS ABOUT BUSINESS.
