My entire career has been centered around content creation — first as an editor and scriptwriter for television, then as a museum guide and public program manager. In all these roles, one thing has always been crucial: thinking about the people for whom the content is created. It’s about striking a balance between being a bit of an influencer without getting too caught up in things that only interest you or your institution. Here are some key practices that guide me: 😍 Engage with your audience: Regularly communicate with your audience to understand what truly matters to them. 😍 Turn feedback into a resource: Use the feedback you receive to improve and refine your product or service. 😍 Create for yourself: Ensure that what you create is something you would love to use as a customer. Passion for your product is a powerful motivator. Even when ArtCracker was just an idea, I knew it was something that would interest me as a user. There’s a special satisfaction in using and loving the things you create, and that passion drives me every day." Most people see My results, but they don’t see the late nights. They don’t see the quiet moments when i am staring at my screen. For me, those nights are real. For the past 20 months, my colleagues and I have noticed a boom in companies hiring "reel creators." This role has really taken off and become quite popular. And let’s be honest—it’s a big deal, and I’m all for it. But here's the thing: a lot of young people see it as an "easy-money" hustle, which isn’t sustainable in the long run. I'm not trying to undervalue the role. It’s a great job requiring you to be: - A solid videographer - A cool video editor - A trend catcher These are great skills, but to level up in your career, you need more. Here’s what can help: - Master Marketing Basics To target the right audience effectively. (Going viral doesn't necessarily mean the content is successful). - Learn Analysis Get good at reading numbers in different contexts. - Improve Writing Skills Even though it’s all about the visuals, good stories start with solid writing. We live in an era where attention is the new currency and the traditional didactic approach falls short. That's where the magic of humour, silliness and bit of VFX comes into play. Here's why I think this short did better: 🪝 The Hook: Humour serves as a powerful hook, transforming passive viewers into active participants. We had increased likes, shares, saves, and comments, indicating a deeper connection with the content. 😂 Authenticity and humanity: At its core, healthcare is about human connection. Humour and silliness bring a human touch to digital content, fostering a sense of community and belonging among viewers. ✨ VFX: We put a giraffe, a double of me, and a dinosaur in my living room. Content that is unique, visually appealing, and emotionally engaging is more likely to be shared. Viewers share content that made them laugh, surprised them, or that they found visually impressive, helping it reach a wider audience. 🧵 Props: I’ve heard from several creators who have found success from Reels that having a prop - in this case the string to represent the nerve - boosts engagement. Both props and VFX add a layer of visual interest and can make your video stand out in a crowded feed.
