This week, Miller Kaplan Partner Andrea Williams, CFE spoke at the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA) event hosted by the Bay Area/NorCal chapter. She shared her insights on the value of the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation and her career specializing in ERISA clients and labor organization benefit funds. "The CFE credential is more than a title—it represents integrity, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of fraud risk and prevention. It formalized my years of experience and sharpened my investigative approach, particularly in complex employer compliance matters," Andrea shared with event attendees. Founded in 1938 to increase opportunities for women in accounting and finance, the AFWA provides members with resources to accelerate their professional growth.
