The barrier reduced PFOA and PFOS by 96% and 98% respectively over the first 9 months of monitoring.

🚢 Optix Maritime Alert: Spoofed Tanker Tracks Uncovered 🌍 #Maritime analysts using #Optix at #GA_CCRi have recently been tracking global spoofing events involving at least 8 crude oil tankers, all likely engaged in trading sanctioned crude oil. Using #Spire’s AIS Position Validation analytic alongside other multi-modal data, Optix streamlines analysis and illustrates this deceptive pattern of life making it simple to detect, track, and act against these types of #activities. In addition to undermining #sanctions, this global activity is also dangerous to #maritime traffic. This is another superb article by Tom Sharpe OBE, a must read. But how does this evolving maritime situation equate to aviation security? The paragraph in Toms article that talks about Ammonium Nitrate and how it is an explosive, even before the addition of fuel oil, renders it an even more powerful ANFO resonates loudly (pun intended), as this is the very subject I have been recently talking to various agencies around the region about. The general belief is that the threat to aviation is limited through the lack of availability (therefore capability) of explosives. Ammonium Nitrate and diesel are already here. And 20,000 tonnes isn’t needed to bring an aircraft down, half of a bag would do the job, I witnessed first hand what a full bag of ANFO in a car boot will do at Newry courthouse, amongst other places.
