MercyFirst’s Post

We're excited to announce that Rebecca Marcone has been named Senior Vice President of Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) at MercyFirst! 🎉 Rebecca steps into this role following the well-deserved retirement of 40-year agency veteran Harlean Dennis. She will now lead the strategic and operational direction of EFFC across Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens, while serving as the key liaison with the Administration of Children’s Services (ACS). Rebecca joined MercyFirst in 1997 as an entry-level caseworker, later serving as Vice President of EFFC for 12 years, where she managed foster care and adoption units, developed new programs, and updated agency policies. She holds a Master’s in Psychology from NYU and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Studio Art from Mount Holyoke College. We’re excited for the continued growth and success of EFFC under Rebecca’s leadership! 🌟 #MercyFirst #Leadership #FosterCare #EFFC #ChildWelfare #CommunityImpact

Congratulations, Rebecca! You will do well. Thank you for your leadership and partnership during my tenure. Lead on, my friend. ❤️

You've worked hard throughout your career at MercyFirst. You stepped up to take on new and challenging responsibilities over the years. You learned from and worked with the best in family foster care with Harlean and Jackie for as many years! Congratulations! Well done!
