Thank you, Mathias Goyen, Prof. Dr.med. and GE HealthCare for your continued partnership and advocacy to bring #augmentedreality into the #Interventionalradiology space with OmnifyXR Interventional Suite. Together, through augmented reality, we're eliminating the guesswork and empowering clinicians with enhanced visualization, practice-altering precision, and more efficient workflows. Experience this technology for yourself at MediView booth #1203 today and tomorrow at #SIR25NASH. #MediView
I was delighted to meet Gaurav Gadodia, M.D. during the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) annual meeting in Nashville. Gaurav is a vascular and interventional radiologist and also the Director of Medical Affairs at MediView XR, Inc.. Last year GE HealthCare and MediView XR, Inc. announced the first installation and clinical use of augmented reality solution OmnifyXR Interventional Suite at North Star Vascular & Interventional in Minnesota (press release —> https://lnkd.in/ehtGq6by ). Augmented reality (AR) is revolutionizing percutaneous image-guided procedures by enhancing visualization, improving precision, and streamlining workflows. Enhanced Spatial Awareness and Precision: AR projects 3D reconstructions of patient anatomy onto the surgical field, improving depth perception and enabling more accurate needle placement, minimizing complications. Real-Time Guidance and Feedback: By integrating imaging data (CT, MRI, or ultrasound) with live camera feeds, AR provides dynamic, real-time guidance, allowing surgeons to adjust instruments and minimize errors during procedures. Reduced Radiation Exposure: AR reduces reliance on continuous fluoroscopic imaging, decreasing radiation exposure for both patients and medical staff. Improved Efficiency and Workflow: AR streamlines procedures by eliminating the need to shift focus between screens and the patient, maintaining a constant anatomical reference and reducing procedure time. Training and Skill Development: AR-based simulations offer immersive, risk-free environments for trainees to practice and develop proficiency in percutaneous interventions. Personalized and Adaptive Treatment Planning: AR customizes procedural plans by incorporating patient-specific imaging data, ensuring individualized, optimized approaches for complex procedures. Future AI Integration for Decision Support: AI-enhanced AR systems could provide predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and optimized trajectory recommendations, further improving decision-making during interventions. By blending virtual data with real-world environments, AR empowers clinicians to perform safer, more efficient, and highly accurate percutaneous procedures. Thank you so much, Prof. Francois H. Cornelis, for presenting on this important advancement in the IR space. #augmentedreality #MediView #SIR25NASH #gehealthcare
