Unprecedented threat to national security. Joe has no business finishing his term. Steven Nelson: "Biden had no public events Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. On Thursday evening, he’s scheduled to make a closed-door visit to his former campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Del., before returning to his vacation home at the Delaware shore for a long weekend." "Biden aides have insisted that he remains capable of leading the country — with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claiming he could even serve a full second term and his physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, telling The Post in an interview that Biden’s mental acuity is 'excellent.' ” Astounding to fathom increasingly senile Biden campaigning for Kamala. WH Leakers to POLITICO: "White House and political aides have talked about occasionally sending Biden out to stump for Vice President Kamala Harris as polls suggest his approval rating has ticked up following his decision to step aside." "The vice president wants Biden’s support in the targeted places where he has the most strength, including with older white voters in states he won in 2020, including Pennsylvania and Michigan, according to three political aides granted anonymity to discuss private discussions." "It’s a remarkable contrast from how Biden envisioned spending the next several months, criss-crossing the country to sell voters on a second term. Still, some Democrats have privately suggested in recent weeks that the president would be better suited to staying in the White House and governing." "Governing?" Incapable. “ 'Joe Biden and America had a big win last week,' said one Democratic strategist on a Senate campaign granted anonymity to characterize private conversations, referring to the return of prisoners from Russia. 'He reminded voters of his compassion and steadfast leadership. More strong governing wins and less campaigning is probably the best thing he could do for the ticket.' ” "Strong governing?" "Another Democratic operative, also granted anonymity, who has worked on presidential campaigns was more blunt:' It’s clear the party did not want Biden as the nominee. It’s very hard to see the Harris team wanting him out there on the trail.' ” https://lnkd.in/emq5kgMC #biden #dementia #kamalaharris #kamala #harriswalz #walz

"Harris and Trump Battle to the Wire in Swing States, Times/Siena Polls Find" | NY Times - US Politics | 11/03/2024 INSIGHT: Donald J. Trump has improved his standing in Pennsylvania even as late-deciding voters appear to be breaking for Kamala Harris. The presidential race appears to be hurtling toward a photo finish, with the final set of polls by The New York Times and Siena College finding Vice President Kamala Harris showing new strength in North Carolina and Georgia as erases her lead in Pennsylvania and maintains his advantage in Arizona. It has been decades since the polls have shown the nation facing a presidential race that is so close across so many states in both the Sun Belt and the Rust Belt. The tightly contested landscape means the race remains highly uncertain as the campaign enters its final hours. Ms. Harris is now narrowly ahead in Nevada, North Carolina and Wisconsin, the polls show, while Mr. Trump leads in Arizona. The polls show them locked in close races in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania. But the results in all seven states are within the margin of sampling error, meaning neither candidate has a definitive lead in any of them. #VicePresidentKamalaHarris #KamalaHarris #Election2024 #FormerPresidentDonaldTrump #BattleGroundStates #Arizona #Georgia #Michigan #Nevada #NorthCarolina #Pennsylvania #Wisconsin

I’m afraid that Trump loses the election. Actually, I’m also afraid he wins. If Trump loses, he’ll likely claim a “stolen” election, casting doubt on democratic institutions and deepening mistrust among his supporters. If he wins, he may frame it as a victory over his “enemies,” treating dissenters as adversaries rather than fellow Americans. In both cases, his confrontational, win-lose style risks further dividing the U.S., making it even harder for Americans to find common ground. If Trump loses, he’ll likely claim a ‘stolen’ election, casting doubt on democratic institutions and deepening mistrust among his supporters. If he wins, he may frame it as a triumph over his ‘enemies,’ casting dissenters not as fellow Americans but as adversaries. In either case, his approach is more than just competitive - it’s confrontational. By treating every political disagreement as a battle to be won, Trump’s win-lose style further divides the U.S. Trump’s approach to politics is anything but boring. I will be the first one to admit: I followed American politics more under Trump than Biden (I bet you did too). His leadership often felt like a front-row seat to a reality show - complete with high drama, cliffhangers, and no shortage of headlines. Yet, the price of this drama is steep. Rather than negotiating to find solutions, Trump’s approach frames every disagreement as a battle to be won, often treating even fellow Republicans who disagree with him as opponents to be defeated. This win-lose mentality creates conflict rather than progress. But history shows us that politics - and negotiation – doesn’t need to be like that. Consider President Reagan and Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill, two leaders from opposite parties were far from aligned on most issues. Reagan, a staunch conservative, pushed for smaller government, lower taxes, and a stronger military. O’Neill, a Democrat and committed liberal, believed in expanding social programs and was a strong advocate for working-class Americans – known for often to be heard whispering “forget it, no way, fat chance” when Reagan laid out his policies. Despite their differences, both men saw negotiation as an opportunity to reach solutions that worked for the country as a whole, rather than a zero-sum game. They understood that compromise wasn’t a weakness but the only way forward in a politically divided landscape. Reagan’s speech on March 17, 1986, captured this spirit, reflecting a time when opponents were seen as partners in a shared journey, not as enemies to be defeated. Their collaborative approach achieved real results for Americans, demonstrating the power of respectful negotiation over confrontational tactics. Here’s the thing: neither governance nor negotiation should be a win-lose game. The goal for any politician or professional should be to find solutions that keep things stable, productive, and focused on the bigger picture. https://lnkd.in/dTzNVkvy

What Impact Will Trump Have on the World? Article by Sin Chew Daily The potential global implications of Donald Trump's re-election as President of the United States. The analysis is structured around five key areas: 1. Domestic Policy: Immigration: Trump is expected to implement stricter immigration policies, and enhance border controls. Judicial and Social Issues: He is likely to maintain traditional and conservative stances on judicial matters and social issues. Environmental Regulations: A reduction in environmental regulations is anticipated, with a focus on promoting traditional energy industries. 2. Economic Policy: Tariffs: Trump proposes imposing a 10% to 20% tariff on imports from various countries, with tariffs on Chinese imports potentially exceeding 60%. Monetary Policy: He favors low interest rates to stimulate the economy and investment, and has shown a tendency to influence Federal Reserve decisions by publicly advocating for rate cuts. Taxation and Deregulation: Further tax cuts, particularly for corporations and the wealthy, are expected, along with deregulation in sectors like finance and energy. 3. U.S.-China-Taiwan Relations: Trade and Taiwan Policy: In the event of Chinese aggression towards Taiwan, Trump suggests imposing tariffs between 150% and 200% on Chinese goods. He also emphasizes that Taiwan should contribute to its defence costs if it seeks U.S. protection. 4. Foreign Policy: Military Engagement: Trump exhibits scepticism towards foreign military interventions and encourages European nations to assume greater financial and military responsibilities within NATO. Conflict Resolution: He claims he could end the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours, potentially by establishing a demilitarized zone and compelling Ukraine to cede occupied territories, while ensuring Ukraine's independence without NATO membership. Support for Israel: Trump's strong support for Israel may lead to swift actions to resolve conflicts like the Israel-Hamas situation, which could strain relations with Israeli leadership. 5. Nuclear Policy: Nuclear Arsenal Expansion: He advocates for expanding the U.S. nuclear arsenal and opposes disarmament and non-proliferation agreements. Nuclear Testing: Trump supports resuming nuclear tests to enhance security and deterrence capabilities. The article underscores that while Trump's policies may introduce significant changes, the structural competition between the U.S. and China is expected to persist, as both major political parties in the U.S. share a consensus on a firm stance towards China. #USelection #Election2024 #USpresidency #DonaldTrump

Health industry stand by….I have a feeling we’re in for a huge shake up. With Trump, RFK Jr and Musk at the helm in one of the most powerful roles in the world, I sense change is imminent. Without getting political (I don’t want to go there) it’s hard to ignore that these three are against the current agenda and narrative that filters across the world. The most important point being that they all have a strong opinion about health. What’s also really interesting is previously hated and cancelled Ellie Grey’s book has gone to the top of the Amazon Charts for Medical Teaching Aids. Which leads me to think that we could see some huge changes, not just systematically but in general public opinions and beliefs about health. Could holistic health and wellness become mainstream? And if this happens, this could mean some big changes on how you market yourself as a health professional. My clients are a lovely mix of mainstream and holistic health and wellness and I’m looking forward to chatting to them about this result. Are you a health professional? What do you think? I would love to know 💖 #wellnessmarketing #digitalmarketingforhealthcare #healthcareprofessionals #healthandwellnessbusiness #healthprofessionals #healthmarketing #digitalmarketingforhealthcare #uselection2024

BREAKING - Harris's narrow lead evaporates in swing states: According to the latest polling from FiveThirtyEight, the presidential race is a nail-biter in several swing states. Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada show an even split between candidates, signaling no clear frontrunner. Meanwhile, Republicans are slightly ahead in North Carolina (R+1) and Arizona (R+2). NOTE: With only 18 days remaining, both campaigns are ramping up efforts in these critical battlegrounds, where even the smallest shifts in support could tip the balance. NOTE: As always, leading in a poll or polling average does not guarantee any election win. This race is extremely close and could swing either way. Both Trump and Harris have viable paths to victory. Anyone who dismisses either of them at this point is letting their emotions drive them rather than reality.
