(O'Carolan College) Take Two! O'Carolan College, Nobber scooped the Best Film Award at Rubbish Film Festival (Meath Section) at the Solstice Arts Centre for the second year running! Their film entitled 'Uprooted' focuses on the effects of deforestation and habitat loss across the planet. TY Students from across the County took part in a two day workshop where they learn to write, produce, edit and promote a short film. At the heart of the Rubbish Film Festival is the belief that recognition can amplify change. The awards don’t just applaud talent, they shine a spotlight on student-led solutions that address some of humanity’s most urgent challenges. Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council Cllr Sharon Tolan was on hand to present the winners with their awards; Best Film Award - 'Uprooted' by O'Carolan College Runner-Up - 'Planet B' by Scoil Mhuire Secondary School Trim Best Poster - 'Pollution Break' by Coláiste Na Mí
