🤗 Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025 🤩 At the year change, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey 2024 has been for our Smart City business and share a glimpse of what’s ahead in 2025. 🤝 In 2024, we achieved milestones that underscore the power of collaboration. One of the highlights was the Barcelona Smart City Expo, where our joint efforts with partners like Signify, Axis, and the City of Tampere showcased how technology can transform urban living. The recognition we received there reaffirmed the importance of working together to create solutions that truly benefit cities and their residents. 😍 Looking forward to 2025, I’m excited about building on this momentum. In January, we’ll kick off the year with OASC 2025 in Tampere, a global gathering of urban innovators. Under the theme "Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Communities," we’ll dive deep into the role AI and IoT play in shaping the cities of tomorrow. What an incredible start! Yesterday was filled with inspiring exchanges and bold ideas about the future of urban living. Grateful to Pru Ashby and the London Office of Technology & Innovation (LOTI) for inviting us to connect with London’s digital transformation leaders. Our conversation with Gurpreet Muctor from Westminster City Council offered fresh insights into how the city is rethinking urban planning with small, cost-effective IoT devices that are already transforming resource management. It aligns perfectly with MISTO’s mission — showing just how powerful technology can be in reshaping city living on a grand scale. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with Sille Sepp from the FinEst Centre for Smart Cities. Our main topic of discussion was centered around challenges and rewards of scaling smart city solutions across regions. Another highlight was my conversation with Guna Soloveja from Tet.lv. We exchanged ideas on how cities can tackle complex urban challenges with resilience and innovation at the forefront. The expo is the world’s biggest and most influential event on urban innovation. With Smart Dublin, we are showcasing our smart accessible parking, kerbside management and waterways management apps that are all being piloted with Smart Dublin and Dublin City Council. Our smart accessible parking app allows disabled drivers to identify unoccupied accessible parking spaces and navigate to them in real time. Our smart kerbside management app allows commercial drivers to identify unoccupied loading bays and navigate to them in real time. Our waterways management app allows users of waterways to check on upstream water data and conditions so that they can make the best and safest decisions for their activities.
