Scaling regenerative agriculture requires comprehensive financial, technical, and peer-to-peer support for farmers. That’s why ‘Routes to Regen,’ the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s pilot project, is bringing together leaders across food and finance to foster a community of collaboration and shared learning.   McCain Foods is proud to support this initiative alongside McDonald's, Lloyds Banking Group, Waitrose & Partners, NatWest, Barclays, Aon, Tokio Marine Group, and Lloyds Banking Group. By providing essential resources, farmers will have access to financial, technical, and peer-to-peer support, making regenerative agriculture a more viable. Starting in the East of England, this project will generate key insights to accelerate global adoption.   Collaboration across the value chain is the key to driving meaningful change in agriculture. Together, we can build a more resilient and sustainable food system. #WeAreMcCain #Sustainability #RegenerativeAgriculture #SMI #RoutesToRegen

Integrating technology to assist farmers in tracking soil health and crop outcomes could enhance the project's impact. Data analytics might offer precision insights, driving efficient resource use and informed decision-making. Encouraging policy shifts to subsidize regenerative practices could further incentivize adoption. Exploring local traditional knowledge can also enrich the project, promoting diversity in implementation approaches.
