We're back now at 11:24. The Southeast Wisconsin Girl Scouts and Mathnasium are teaming up for a cookie filled learning event. Joining me now is Jillian Pipcorn, the Mathnasium a multi center owner. Thanks so much for being here. Yeah, thanks for having me. Yeah, we got Girl Scout cookies here. There's lots of Girl Scout cookies. Before we get into this awesome collaboration and partnership between Mathnasium and the Girl Scouts of Southeast Wisconsin, first tell us about Mathnasium. And for folks at home who may not be familiar with it. Absolutely. So magnesium is a math only Learning Center. We support students as young as kindergarten. All the way up through 12th grade in high school. And really, we're all about meeting them where they're at on their math journey. So some kids come to us struggling, trying to keep up in class, and we can help them with that. And on the flip side, from an enrichment standpoint, there are kids that love math, are looking for an extra challenge, and we can push them along, too. But all about building confidence and a great, fun learning environment. Yeah. Mathnasium has been around for decades. You were just explaining to me 12 locations across the Milwaukee area. What is the impact been for the community here? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, like I said, we're supporting kids. Whether they're looking to catch up or keep up or get ahead. And so it's, it's that confidence that we see permeate not only in the math classroom, but into all aspects of their lives. And now you guys are teaming up with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Wisconsin to really make math learning fun and even tasty a little bit. Tell me about this collaboration. Yeah. So in honor of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend next Saturday on March 1st, we're hosting at our Wauwatosa location on 70th and North Avenue, 9:30 to 12:30. Local Girl Scout troops going to be there, so come by. Support them, pick up, stack up on all the cookies that you're looking for. But we're gonna have a great cookie themed math event going on. It's free, no tickets required. Just come on in. We'll have some fun. I was gonna say kind of explain what that looks like. Yeah, I, I hear cookie and math and learning and I'm all like how I'm just hungry. But like, tell me, how does it, how does it go together? So here's an example. So we're gonna have this cookie jar full of cookies there. We do a lot of estimation with our students. And so this smart cookie challenge students can enter a raffle here. We'll have fun prizes giving away a free month. Mathnasium, we'll have some, you know, worksheets that are fun problem solving, all cookie themed. We'll have some friendship bracelet making, which is really fun for Girl Scouts and math museum students. Really. And just some fun math games for kids to play. Pretty cool. Do you know the answer to the cookies? I do. You want to give it a shot? Yeah. Yeah. Maybe I'm, I'm terrible at this. I'll say like, I don't know, 40. But maybe you'll come by next Saturday and enter the contest. We'll let you know if you're close beyond the next weekend's event with a girl. Scouts and Mathnasium, how can people learn more about the the great things that Mathnasium has gone? Yeah, check out our website, somathnasium.com. There's a place you can enter your zip code and find which of the 12 greater Milwaukee locations is closest to you. And we offer free trials assessments related to come in and and we can help you. Pretty cool. Jillian, thank you so much for being here. We appreciate it. Mark your calendars. The Cookie Math Playground will be available Saturday next Saturday, March 1st from 9:30 until 12:30. It's happening at the Wauwatosa Mathnasium Center near 70th and North Ave.
